Getting excited for the New England SCBWI conference!  
This is my painting of a scene from the Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.  I really enjoyed reading the original story and creating this illustration.  

My feet haven't quite landed back in the real world after an amazing SCBWI conference in NYC last weekend.  I had a great time, met some wonderful people, made great connections, had a thoughtful critique by the talented Brett Helquist, heard inspiring speakers and was re-inspired to continue doing what I love.

I just got home from my final portfolio review. Phew! That was a long haul, but so well worth it. I'm so excited for this next chapter, whatever it may be.
But first, graduation!!!!!!

I just dropped off my final portfolio for review. Ahhhh! A mixture of relief and nervous butterflies!
